Oh, my! It seemed like it was only yesterday when you hear Christmas songs being played on the radio and the card section were overflowing with, what else, but Christmas cards. Now those cards have been replaced by hearts and cutesy little cupids, reminding you that another holiday is coming around. To celebrate the month of lovers, I will be posting some of my favorite love poems, love quotes , Valentine ideas for your loved ones etc.

Also, along with such goodies that I mentioned above. I'll be promoting some of my fellow Etsians. Check them out and I'm sure you will find many wonderful things from their shops that you can give to your love ones or for yourself to keep.

J.C. Leyendecker, The Saturday Evening post, Easter 1923

Tonight's Love poems are all about DEFINITIONS AND PERSUASIONS.

SYMPTOMS OF LOVE--Robert Graves

Love is a universal migraine
A bright stain on the vision
Blotting out reason.

Symptoms of true love
Are leanness, jealousy,
Laggard dawns.

Are omens and nightmares-
Listening for a knock,
Waiting for a sign:

For a touch of her fingers
In a darkened room,
For a searching look.

Take courage, lover!
Could you endure such grief
At any hand but hers?

THE REVELATIONS--Coventry Patmore

An idle poet, here and there,
Looks round him: but, for all the rest,
The world, unfathomably fair,
Is duller than a witling's jest.
Love wakes men, once a lifetime each;
They lift their heavy lids, and look;
And, lo, what one sweet page can teach,
They read with joy, then shut the book.
And some give thanks, and some blaspheme
And most forget; but, either way,
That and the Child's unheeded dream
Is all the light of all their day.

Tonight's LOVE QUOTES are:

The affections are like lightning: you cannot tell where they will strike till they have fallen
.
-Jean Baptiste Lacordaire

I have found men who didn't know how to kiss. I've always found time to teach them.
-Mae West

Good night for now. And don't forget to say "I love you" to your loved ones!
